The Great International Mersenne Prime Search
http://www.mersenne.org
This is the home page for GIMPS. GIMPS is a distributed processing project
searching for Mersenne Primes using the extra cycles from over 9,000 PCs around the world.
This is one of many worthwhile causes to which one may donate extra cycles.
The software also provides an effective -- and free -- "torture test" of a PC's
CPU, RAM and system board. Many system board failures go undiagnosed until the
symptoms are truly fatal to your PC. The GIMPS software can help you discover
problems before your data is seriously corrupted. You do not need to join the
project in order to download the software or to use the torture test. Enjoy!
Pets N Things

Pets 'N' Things is a local pet shop in Bellevue, Washington specializing in birds,
reptiles, amphibians and selected invertibrates. This is especially good for
children [of all ages] interested in unusual critters for the home. Fortunately, our
cats get along with our 4.5 foot iguana, Emma Peel. Emma is frequently seen at her
workstation.
Microsoft
Windows 95 (OSR-1) Y2K Patch
Y2K issues seem fairly minor in Windows 95. You may get more life out of this
operating system with a free patch and put off upgrading a bit longer. There are
also patches for OSR-2 and higher.
